Therapeutic yoga and Love as Medicine

at Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort

and Portland, Oregon

October 13 – 22, 2017

with Jonathan Weber and Maja Thune

We welcome you to join us on a healing journey into the transformative power of yoga and loving-kindness, in the beautiful state of Oregon! We will fly a group from Oslo to Oregon and back again for a special 10 day yoga expedition.

We begin our journey in a deep retreat for 6 days at the sacred land of Breitenbush Hot Springs Resort and Conference Center, a magical gem nestled in an old-growth temperate rain forest in the foothills of Mt. Jefferson. With a historic old main lodge, rustic cabins, alternative earthen buildings, and a green conscious community as the staff, the center is built around a naturally occurring hot springs that was sacred to the Native Americans. In this deep retreat, we will address the use of alternative healing in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, difficult emotional states, and trauma. We explore this theme through the practice of Therapeutic yoga, expressive arts therapy, mindfulness, and compassion. There will be time for soaks in the natural hot springs, walks through ancient forests, sitting along the river, eating wholesome vegetarian food, and contemplation. In the natural healing waters and nurturing Yin environment of Breitenbush, we find a safe space for deep rejuvenation, opening up the heart, and resting back in our radiant Self.

Then we transform…. we leave the cocoon and spread our wings!

We continue our journey for three more nights in the hip, big city of the Pacific NW; Portland, OR. We explore opening further to joy, playfulness, exploration, and the integration of our deeper insights into the world around us. We stay at the trendy Ace hotel, located in the heart of the city near the artsy Pearl district. The hotel is next to the giant natural foods market, Whole foods, and the largest independent new and used bookstore in the world, Powells books. We will continue to practice our yoga in a beautiful studio, eat meals together, share, and also have time to shop and explore on our own. So weaving our yoga practice into the urban environment. Discovering all the possibilities with alternative shopping and conscious culture can be a source of inspiration; Every title of book related to health and yoga, endless selection of natural food products, stylish yoga clothing shops (Lululemons), modern art galleries, artisan micro-brew pubs, gourmet coffee roasters, vegan cafes, world cuisine eateries galore, etc.

Then we will end with a big night out on the town, in celebration of Love and Life together!

Join us for an unforgettable journey into the heart of Yoga as therapy and Love as medicine….
